I just completed the Online Kinetic Massage of the Hip course and I’m pleased with how the course was laid out. It was very informative and easy to understand. I liked how I could rewatch the videos as many times as needed while performing the techniques, I feel it made understanding the course much easier.

I really enjoyed the dynamic cupping certification course. It is well structured. The content is scientifically based and is high quality. The flexibility it offers is fantastic. Their communication is great so if any issues did arise they would be very quick to help out. I will be doing more courses with them in the future. Highly recommend.

Seminars for Health has always been amazing to deal with. They have excellent instructors for all their courses they offer. My most favourite courses have been Dynamic Cupping with Gerri, Janine Goetz for the Pre and Post Natal course, Orthopedic massage with Linda Hoppe and Intraoral TMJ with Mara. All the courses have been very valuable to offer in my practice, I use all of them often. I will always recommend upgrading courses through Seminars. I have taken multiple courses with Seminars for Health over the last three years and will be taking more in the future. I really enjoy the convenience of SFH sending proof of my attendance straight to my association so I don’t have to worry about it. I love learning from Shirley Damberger ! She is teaching the oncology courses which I feel is highly important and so desperately needed. The Fundamentals of Oncology was presented much differently than I envisioned. I thought it may be more ‘pathologically’ based...if your client presents with this-than do specific treatments...instead it was full of caring how to s in truly supporting the client with cancer through Massage Therapy or really clients with any critical illness or trauma. Great course!

The Holistic Nutrition for Digestion was very well-organized, up-to-date and very useful for myself and my clients. The instructor was knowledgeable and engaging. I recently took the Dynamic cupping course in Calgary, and man was it worth it. Since I started schooling and recently my career in massage therapy, I had always wanted to learn cupping as I had always thought it was a particularly helpful adjunctive therapy...I was not wrong. Ever since I started using it in my practice, the amount of positive feedback I get has doubled. People keep telling me how much it helped them and I'm so glad! This course was totally worth it and I would 100% recommend.

When I took TMJ intraoral level 1 in 2017, I have to say I was a bit overwhelmed and unfortunately didn’t get to practice on as many people as I would have liked too!Taking level 2 last weekend, just brought back all my excitement and interest on working with clients with TMJ dysfunctions!This class was such a great refresher of the things we learned in level 1, and it gave me a chance to deepen my skills, but we also learned a lot of new techniques to work on muscles and structures that are often missed/forgotten about!Mara is such an amazing teacher and a wealth of knowledge!I have taken almost 10 classes with seminars for health, and all of them delivered what they promised!Looking forward to integrating my new learned skills.Thank you SFHSpecial shout out to Jill (customer service and operations), for answering all my questions and helping me booking the proper classes

I completed the self care course for upper and lower body. All of the exercises and stretches I learned can be done everyday in between clients, even if you only have 30 seconds or a couple hours to spare. I thoroughly enjoyed the teacher, shes intelligent, beautiful and really enjoys what she does, and that relates to me to keep me motivated to practice more self care for my clients and myself. Attended the TMJ course in Edmonton (level 1 & 2). Found it very comprehensive with Mara being extremely knowledgeable in her anatomy & physiology in the area we were studying. I highly recommend the Fundamental Oncology course. It was not only very informative but it was presented in an organized, down to earth format. I walked away with a greater understanding of a largely misunderstood aspect of cancer as it applies to massage...can’t wait for the clinical part to be covered in the Oncology certification course!

Participated in the Dynamic Cupping course in Edmonton this weekend. I've had 15 years of experience and I can honestly say this is one of the best courses I have attended! It will definitely add to what I am able to achieve therapeutically for my clients! There was a large amount of hands on technique time and having the videos playing with the techniques during our practice time really solidified what we saw in the demo from the instructor. Order more cups for yourself with the course because you will want them!

I was extremely impressed with both the content and presentation skills in the TMJ Intraoral with Precision course. Going back to a classroom setting after so long can be difficult for some but I can assure that you are in a safe place. Linda, Marla, Jill and the SFH team provide a nurturing environment for learning. No question is not answered and there is always time for the instructor to go over something one-on-one. I loved the Kinetic Massage course I just took, full of great techniques and Mara is great as an instructor so knowledgeable. I look forward to implementing what I learned for my clients.The fact that they provide tables for their students is a definite bonus, however, having the option for students to purchase a traction belt from them would be great.

I recently finished the Dynamic Cupping course with SFH, and I really enjoyed it. The instructor, Jocelyn, was kind, thoughtful with her answers to questions and demonstrated excellent skill in cupping. The class itself had good material and was thorough. The orthopaedic massage training session was awesome. It gives detailed explanation to the function of different muscles and various techniques for better treatment. i've taken a couple seminars for health courses over the past few years after graduating from my massage therapy course. they're great for continuing education and the teachers and attending volunteers are all very knowledgeable, passionate and kind people. there is a clear atmosphere of positivity and everyone who attends the courses comes ready to learn and to engage with the material.i had such a positive experience at the most recent course i took, the five day orthopedic massage course, with linda and mara. they made the classroom environment feel welcoming and warm and never made me feel any unease about needing to ask questions or to see a certain portion of a demo again. just a very very positive experience all around, every time i take a massage course from seminars for health! i'll definitely be taking further courses with them in the future

I just finished the SFH Kinetic Massage Certification and I wish I had known of this fantastic approach earlier on in my career. I incorporated it into my practice over the last week and my hands no longer hurt. I feel not only engaged with the tissues but also with the massage treatment. It is great to feel and see change right on the table without hurting or providing pain. My clients really enjoy my new techniques yet still feel relaxed within the treatment. I tried this on three new clients and they all rebooked. Thanks SFH for your efforts to elevate this profession. I feel proud to be a massage therapist. I recently did the Kinetic massage certification course in Calgary, Ab. I have to say that I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed the course. The visual content and hands on practice was perfectly balanced. Our course leader Mara was absolutely outstanding. Her passion for sharing her knowledge and wanting to help make us better massage therapists was palpable throughout the three day course. I loved her teaching style and it really worked for me. Recently I had the opportunity to engage in the Fundamentals of Orthopedic Massage course in Calgary - Although I was unable to complete the whole certification due to time constraints, the Fundamentals was a very engaging class. Mara was a fantastic, informative instructor and was very knowledgeable about the content. It is a perfect course to learn new techniques specific to certain muscles and muscle groups, also while learning multiple options to adjusting treatment pressure. If you have the chance to take the whole Orthopedic Massage certification, from what I learnt in the Fundamentals, it's definitely worth your time! I will most definitely be back to complete my certification!

I took the course due to the overwhelming client request and I’ve used the techniques learned since and have increased the depth of my work, the number of areas targeted in the treatment time frame as well as mitigated my own wear and tear on my body. I found the course was well taught with plenty of hands on training to give me the confidence to utilize dynamic cupping from day 1.

Recently I engaged in the Dynamic Cupping and Massage seminar with Seminars for Health. I had been waiting for a different type of teaching over the other cupping courses being offered to all of us. This one struck me as soon as I opened the link to read about the course being offered. I thoroughly enjoyed the instructors as well as the venue in Edmonton, which was incredibly easy to find! Linda and Karin brought forth mindfulness, professionalism and content that sets a standard for all of us. Every question answered and the support offered was phenomenal ! This isn't your typical class for continued education. I would highly recommend Seminars for Health to those looking for higher education! Leaders in the world of continuing education.

I took the Intra Oral course part 1 in Edmonton and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Mara was super knowledgeable, made the class very enjoyable, and made things easy to understand. This is the second course I took with Seminars of Health and will continue to do so 😊

I took TMJ level 1 in Edmonton a few days ago and it was excellent. I felt my knowledge was lacking in this area but now I have much more confidence from both an anatomy, assessment and treatment standpoint. I have lots of clients that will benefit from what I learnt and will definitely be taking level 2 later in the year. The instruction from Mara was also 5 star. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend the Dynamic Myofascial Cupping course with Geri. Geri was such an informative and patient instructor with literal decades of experience cupping. She was phenomenal, and so was this course. I took this course before I graduated my 2200 hours, and it was perfectly explained how to incorporate cupping into regular massage therapy treatments. Students or long-time practitioners this is a FANTASTIC course!

I have taken many, many courses from Seminars For Health over the last 5 years. The instructors are always at the top of their game, and the information is relevant, current, and presented in such a usable way- I always leave the course ready to use my new skills in my practice right away.I've attended the U of C Gross Anatomy Lab with SforH and felt that it truly expanded my understanding of the body, and was presented in a knowledgeable and respectful way. I have also really enjoyed and benefited from continuing ed courses on Advanced Orthopeadic Techniques, Myofascial Cupping, Massage of the Jaw for TMJ concerns, and Kinetic Massage methods, as well as self-care and nutrition classes geared specifically to massage therapists.Linda and her team all do a fabulous job of providing high quality education at great prices, and making the material accessible for everyone who attends. In every class you can feel the enthusiasm for both learning and teaching. My favorite instructors are Mara Boaru and Mike Horne, but everyone in the team is wonderful and really knows their stuff.I would highly recommend SforH to anyone who wants to advance their knowledge and skills!

I travelled from Manitoba to take Seminar For Health's -- Massage for People Living with Cancer course in Edmonton because I wanted to expand my knowledge in this area. This course FAR surpassed my expectations. The instructor Gayle was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and patient. The course was laid out in an easy to follow format and was the perfect mix of theory and hands on application. I would HIGHLY recommend Seminars for Health and will definitely be pursuing more courses from them in the future.

I love Mara as an instructor, she's very knowledgeable. I am also very impressed to say that while Seminars for Health had a mix up with the classes and I ended up getting different learning material than what I was supposed to get, they rectified the issue in a way that I would have expected without us having to dispute back and forth.I'm thankful that they immediately took ownership of the issue and offered to fix it. I love the instruction by Mara and now that I see the integrity of Seminars for Health I'm confident going back every time.

I learned so much during the Kinetic Massage Certification course. Mara was fantastic - she explained things in a way that made sense and was a pleasure to learn from. My friend and I hung off her every word. I’ll use the kinetic approach all the time. As an RMT, I’m always excited to take courses through Seminars For Health. I’ve taken kinetic massage with Mara and she is fantastic and patient and she uses greatMetaphors and makes sure you understand before you go. They have made the standards across Alberta higher for themselves and also for their students in order to prepare for regulation and the techniques can be used everyday! You will learn comfort and ease within your scope but outside of the box ideas. Thanks again. I will be back for more!

Over the past few years I have taken such amazing courses with Seminars for Health from mindful mediation, dynamic cupping, advanced orthopedic massage, and recently massage for people living with cancer with an outstanding instructor Gayle Macdonald. Truly, another remarkable course, and instructor from Seminars.This was such a powerful weekend for me in many many ways, but I left with so much gratitude for my profession, I gained so much more knowledge and confidence to work with Oncology and massage, and I will continue to take courses with Seniars for Health as they provide such a high standard of quality continuing education.

My experience with seminars for health has been positive in all three courses previously taken: Pregnancy massage, TMJ massage and massage for people with cancer The content is always relevant and interesting to my massage therapy field and all the instructors are top notch. Gayle in particular was knowledgeable and scholarly yet was genuinely happy to have lunch and talk with her students as well. I highly recommend the company and look forward to taking the post pregnancy and advanced TMJ courses in the future.

Seminars for health just hosted a Kinetic Massage program in Calgary that I attended and it was great! The course was informative, the instructors, Mara and Linda, were helpful, clear and concise in their teachings.
