Postnatal Massage – PoN-EDM-19-03

This one-day course will cover physical and mental health postpartum rehabilitation. Pelvic health issues and techniques (external) will be addressed to support and promote the healing and strengthening of this region. Specific care to shoulder, neck, and back will be covered through demo and practice of postpartum massage techniques. Contraindications will also be discussed looking more in-depth at the effects that medical interventions have on a woman’s body and how massage therapists can assist with comprehensive postnatal massage care and rehabilitation. Become Certified as a Pre & Postnatal Massage Therapist
This certification is made up of two comprehensive courses.
Prenatal Massage: This 2-day comprehensive Prenatal Massage course addresses a wide range of physical and emotional health concerns. Massage Therapists will learn how to execute accurate and effective treatment, by covering in detail, the client’s health history information and specific massage techniques. This course will also include intensive hands-on Prenatal Massage techniques, isolated stretching techniques, proper positioning and draping specific to this clientele. Furthermore, you can assure that your client will be safe by learning all about contraindications, complications, postural changes and basic anatomy of the pelvis. You can trust that this Prenatal Massage course is excellent for training competent massage therapists in dealing with care and compassion to make a pregnant journey just that extra special.

Note: Prenatal Massage Course is not a prerequisite of Postnatal Massage course.
Certification requirements
As of 2019, there will be two options for students participating in our certification programs.
- Students can take our classes and receive an attendance certificate. They will still receive the allotted amount of credits specified by their association and do not need to complete an exam.
- Students can write an exam at the end of each class. If they pass all exams, then they will receive a final certificate stating that they completed all requirements to be a ‘Certified Therapist’.
