Holistic Nutrition for Musculoskeletal Conditions – HNMSK-EDM-19-05
Fri | May 10, 2019 | 1:30pm – 5:30pm |

Musculoskeletal conditions may be linked to nutritional deficiencies. Help yourself and your client. Treat the root of the problem.
Have you ever wondered why some of your clients do not respond as quickly as others to manual therapies? Inflammation, pain, trigger points, fascial restrictions, arthritis, chronic fatigue and pain syndromes, muscle cramps, and poor healing of soft tissue injuries can be attributed to nutritional deficiencies. A Standard American Diet (SAD diet), decreasing the nutritional value in our food, drug-nutrient depletions, and stress and lifestyle all affect the body’s ability to absorb and use the nutrients available to us.
In this course you will learn:
1. Nutritional factors that impair healing.
2. Drug-nutrient depletions with common anti-inflammatories and pain relievers.
3. Specific dietary and supplement protocols to support musculoskeletal pathologies including inflammation, pain, arthritis, myofascial pain syndromes, soft tissue injuries, and muscle cramps.
4. How to prolong optimal health through Holistic Nutrition.
All Health care practitioners and general public welcome!
I wanted to take Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage with Seminars for Health to become more confident in treating pregnant and postpartum women as my college didn’t touch on this at all. I honestly feel that a lot of therapist leave school scared and too nervous to treat pregnant and postpartum women. I actively avoided it. Janine does a great job of dispelling the misinformation that’s out there regarding pregnancy and massage. Her knowledge and experience is vast and fills you with confidence. She showed some great techniques and made sure everyone was super confident with the sidelying positioning, draping and bolstering. The booklet we used and took home is great and really useful. I’ve been taking it with me when I have a maternity or postpartum massage just for reference. It gives you all of the contraindications and cautions to watch out for broken down into trimester as well as safe positioning and techniques to use for each trimester. All in all I feel 100 times more confident since taking the course and I feel like clients feel more cofident in you when you know the right questions to ask and understand the issues facing pregnant and postpartum women. I would highly recommend this course to all therapists! Pregnant women aren’t scary and they need massage and support more than anyone.
