Sun | Nov 19, 2017 | 1:30pm – 5:30pm |
Life changing education that everyone can benefit from.
Poor digestion is a root cause of disease. Slow and incomplete digestion leads to reduced absorption of nutrients and nutrient deficiencies affecting all body systems. Illnesses such as allergies, immune disorders, cardiovascular disorders, inflammatory conditions and obesity can result from slow and incomplete digestion. A Standard American Diet (SAD diet), stress, and lifestyle choices directly affect our digestion and our body’s ability to absorb and use the nutrients available to us.
In this course you will learn:
- The organs involved in digestion and how they work together.
- Common pathologies affecting the digestive system such as: underactive stomach, overactive stomach, cirrhosis of the liver, gallbladder attacks, pancreatitis, dysglycemia, dysbiosis, constipation, and diarrhea.
- Signs and symptoms of poor digestion.
- The causes of faulty digestion.
- Common nutrient deficiencies related to poor digestion.
- How to improve your digestion through diet and lifestyle.
- How to achieve optimal health by maximizing your digestion.
All Health care practicioners and general public welcome!
I wanted to take Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage with Seminars for Health to become more confident in treating pregnant and postpartum women as my college didn’t touch on this at all. I honestly feel that a lot of therapist leave school scared and too nervous to treat pregnant and postpartum women. I actively avoided it. Janine does a great job of dispelling the misinformation that’s out there regarding pregnancy and massage. Her knowledge and experience is vast and fills you with confidence. She showed some great techniques and made sure everyone was super confident with the sidelying positioning, draping and bolstering. The booklet we used and took home is great and really useful. I’ve been taking it with me when I have a maternity or postpartum massage just for reference. It gives you all of the contraindications and cautions to watch out for broken down into trimester as well as safe positioning and techniques to use for each trimester. All in all I feel 100 times more confident since taking the course and I feel like clients feel more cofident in you when you know the right questions to ask and understand the issues facing pregnant and postpartum women. I would highly recommend this course to all therapists! Pregnant women aren’t scary and they need massage and support more than anyone.
